Meet Lisa Haas, a valued volunteer at Platte Canyon Community Partnership Resale Boutique and a nine-year resident of Bailey, CO. As a self-employed marketing expert, course-building professional, and online instructor for the University of Denver all performed remotely, Lisa Haas sought a way to step out of the home-office routine, connect with people, and give back to the community.
Volunteering with the boutique perfectly aligns with Lisa Haas’ core value of community involvement. After exploring various volunteer opportunities, an email from Shawnee History Days related to volunteering at the boutique caught Lisa’s attention, and it turned out to be a perfect fit. “I love the people who volunteer here,” Lisa shares, describing the rewarding connections formed through shared efforts to support local causes.
With a passion for thrift shopping, Lisa also enjoys the unique charm of the boutique, where items are constantly coming and going. This role offers a meaningful balance of connection, local impact, and a bit of treasure hunting on the side.
